”Holed up with the quiet company of old movies, she knits about 15 hours a day. Running a one-woman knitwear enterprise from home, Yokoo is an artist, a perfectionist and a ”total control” worker. She enjoys being a part of the entire process: thinking, designing, sketching, picking up the material, creating, photographing, promoting, trading and sending. She still gets butterflies every time she packages up a new order.”

Igår – på Earth Day – var det online release av Imogen Heaps och Thomas Ermacoras Love the Earth Film och premiär för det officiella soundtracket till filmen (filmen hade sin verkliga premiär när Imogen framförde musiken under en livesändning -med 480000 streamar – från Royal Albert Hall 5 november 2010).
Eftersom vi tycker att projektet som sådant är ett finfint initiativ och Imogen något av det bästa som finns så är vi omåttligt stolta över att Nicolas har med en och en halv minuts material (i delen som heter ”Beauty”) i denna fantastiska skapelse.

After many long years up to our necks in soulless companies and heartless clients, we have made the decision to take flight on a wingless plane and launch ourselves towards clouds so strange they look like cotton. We could just go through them and end up squashed on the ground, but we know that that short instant between sky and earth is the most valuable moment in the world. So here we are, sitting in the cockpit with the propeller spinning, thinking about how to make each trip a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We are obviously open to picking up new passengers, just as long as they are carrying that small ticket that says: life ends when you stop having fun.
